Hybrid Calisthenics App Roadmap

This roadmap is from several months ago and we should have a new rebuilt app out in a few weeks.

It should address many of the bugs and feature requests people have. Excited to share!

November 2025 update: It’s out! A lot of the information below is no longer relevant. The app is much better now. Thank you for your patience and support.

Last Updated November 27, 2025.

Hello all! I thought it’d be nice to give clear ideas on where we plan to take the new fitness app.

The next steps

Thanks to your wonderful support and feedback, we have a pretty clear path forward!

To summarize:

  1. Optimize - Continue to make small improvements, smooth out errors, and create a good app experience to help many people.

  2. Premium Functions - Offer valuable bonus features to supporters to ensure the app’s continued growth and development.

  3. New Features - Activity screen, workout history, trainer messaging, reminder notifications, adjustable workouts, and more!

These are in approximate order. However, all of them will be worked on somewhat simultaneously.

For example, last week, we fixed a bug, planned premium tiers, and developed a new Movement Capture screen that includes viewable Levels.

Each step also supports the previous step. For example, it’s very important for us to continue to improve user experience. The premium functions will also be essential to developing new features and optimizing current ones. These will actually be very important to app development.

If you’ve sent in a suggestion or bug report through Profile > Help > Technical Support, we’ve logged your input and are aware. Thank you!

I use the term “roadmap” pretty loosely. I think it’s supposed to show time, so here’s a chart:

Premium App Functions

It is our goal to build a great fitness app with excellent free features that make exercise accessible to anyone.

To do this, we took the original premium features and we made them free.

Some of you have mentioned wanting to support this. Here’s what we plan to offer supporters!

There are essentially three types of premium functionality planned:

  1. No Ads - This is the easiest one to do by far. We’ll remove the ads that happen during rest times for a smoother experience. More people wanted this than we expected, so this is coming soon.

  2. Premium Features - We’ll replace your rest timer with a fancy adjustable one (see image). You’ll also receive early access to new features as we release them 🎉.

  3. Form Coaching & Certified Trainer Messaging (SEPARATE)* - You can chat with our fitness team for any questions, send photos/videos of your form, and benefit from additional customization and motivation.

The first premium app release will be a combination of #1 and #2. It won’t include form coaching.

The planned pricing for No Ads & Premium Software Features might differ a bit based on your location. After research, we offer currency-based discounts for some countries based on their usual cost of goods. The best way to know the current price is to check your updated app under Profile -> Premium.

Form Coaching & Trainer Messaging

Trainer Form Coaching will come later and be a separate cost and feature. It’s currently planned to start at $30 (Monthly). Not everyone needs this, so feel free to disregard. However, I expect this to be very helpful for some of us.

NOTE: Form coaching is distinct from #2 because it is not a software feature. It is a human feature! This is important because we can offer the software to near infinite people. However, we don’t have near infinite trainers.

Thank you if read this whole thing.

It means a lot!

If any of it seems overwhelming, don’t worry. This is just us trying to share our process with you. All of it is optional.

We plan to keep building the free app for a long time to hopefully help millions of people. We deeply appreciate you being a part of it.

Have a wonderful day!
